Experts said that desert dust entering Turkey from the west will be effective in the whole country by the end of the week.
Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Department of Meteorology Engineering. Dr. Hüseyin Toros, “Desert dust entering Turkey from the west will be effective in the whole country until the end of the week.” said.
IT WILL BE EFFECTIVE IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY UNTIL THE WEEKEND
Expressing that Turkey is currently under the influence of high pressure over the Mediterranean, Toros continued as follows:
“Desert dust is very common in the Turkish skies during the spring months. According to the atmospheric numerical model evaluations of the ITU Meteorological Engineering Department Modeling Team, desert dust departs from the field and comes to Turkey via Italy and Greece.
Desert dust entering Turkey from the west will be effective in the whole country until the end of the week. Desert dust will be more effective in the south of Turkey.
Desert dust will carry both hot air and plenty of dust to Turkey with the effect of the high pressure area over the Mediterranean.”
